I’ve decided to make some changes to the website. You can still reach me with my email if you have any enquiries.

What an incredible journey that I have for the past 1 month!! It was a busy busy busy month to clean and tidy up our apartment to prepare for CNY, a celebration (Chinese New Year), an interesting and frustrating adventure to deal with the airlines/cargos to bring my rabbit over, and we had wonderful time catching up with some old friends and extended families throughout this whole CNY period.
I know my shops are almost closed for 1 month! I thought I’ll have time to create some new pieces when I’m back in KL, but I didn’t. So I brought a bunch of semi-precious stones back to KL, and the same bunch of them return untouched to Den Haag, and of course, some additional pearls that I managed to get from KL itself!
I must say, the fever of creating own jewelry is catching up in KL because there are so many new bead stores in Chinatown since I left last year. This is a good thing because it means the handmade market is is growing and getting more mature to be able to accept higher quality handmade products.
And yeah, I planned to do a write-up about my experience of bringing my rabbit over to Holland. It’s not suprising to get a “What? A rabbit?!” kind of reaction from almost anyone whom I called during the past one month. Even though their sizes are smaller or similar to a cat, it still took us so much hassles to deal with the airlines and cargos to actually bring my rabbit over until I have to delay my flight to return to Den Hague.
However, Thank God that everything went so smoothly yesterday on my return! And, I’m back with my excited bun at home now… happily typing this new entry, with my bun munching his new hay in his fenced area.
My and my hubby were so thrilled to look at him settling so easily into a new environment.

Packing bags again…
We are going back home tomorrow! Can’t you believe it? I’ve been on the move for the past 3 months! Not to mention that we have also moved to a new apartment to welcome this brand new year in the Netherlands.
Chinese New Year is near. That’s why we are going back to KL for a 3-week visit.
Guess what I will be doing when I’m back? Eat!! You can’t stop a Malaysian to gobble up nasi lemak and asam laksa if she has not tasted them 3 months!
Anyway… I will be in touch soon!

Wow… the last 4 weeks has been eventful, interesting and tiring!
After my hubby’s surgery and our grounding in Houston for 3 weeks… we are finally back to the Netherlands. Within 2 days of arrival, we packed our bags and boxes… and moved into a new place just 10m walk away from his office. I’m glad I made a right decision to hire the movers. As you can imagine, my hubby is on crutches, we don’t have a car… there is no way that I can move 5 boxes, 2 bicycles, 2 computers and a few other luggages on my own… though I wish I have inherited my mum’s bionic woman gene. But so far… no.
I have tons of my beads and gemstones all packed up in one corner, waiting for me to unpack. I have to do my grocery shopping today to fill up the refrigerator, and learn how to use a dish washing machine, with all instructions in Dutch. Back in KL, dish washing machine is a luxury. I have never operated a dish washing machine before. But since using it can save lots of my precious time, it makes complete sense for me to learn it.
And… I look forward to a brand new 2008! Today is THE beginning for me.
Cheers!

Wow, I have been really busy and tired for the past few days!
As you all know, my hubby went through a knee surgery in Houston, Texas; and now we are grounded in the hotel room for the next 2 weeks, except visits to physical treatment sessions. For the first day, he stayed overnight in the hospital and after that he has been resting in the room, on the bed, with his laptops, coffees, food, mobile, plus the CPA machine that helps him to exercise his muscles.
I guess this is the time that I see his soft side, and I have to be tough to help him through this period of time. I wonder how he made it for his first surgery in April 07 when I wasn’t with him at that time. The doctor said he is doing well. So, don’t worry, he is in good hands.
Texas Medical Center is one of the top medical centers in the world, or the top (according to what the cab driver said…). It’s like a medical city in a city itself! This place is huge! and it houses so many buildings with world-class doctors and physicians of various domains. I am really amazed with how top class this place is. People are caring and friendly, explanation is clear and they tell you what to expect and what to do, plus this place is clean and modern.
The doctor that did my husband’s surgery was referred by his colleague. According to a nurse that I spoke to, he is THE expert with knee problems. I’m glad that we make a right choice to continue his second surgery in US and thank God that his company insurance is paying for all this!
He will be off crutches in 8 weeks time.
